The popular chestnut trail of Eisacktal is located only about 50 meters above our Wöhrmaurer Inn. It runs through light chestnut groves, leads from Neustift near Brixen to Bozen and is more than 60 kilometres long. Depending on how you feel you can walk along short or longer parts of the well signposted chestnut trail – not only in autumn!
On the way you will pass many cultural treasures well worth seeing. Moreover, rustic bars and inns with local flavour invite to stay for a while and to taste local wine and many culinary delicacies. Directly in Feldthurns there starts the second stage of the chestnut trail, which goes through meadows, forests and orchards to Säben Monastery, down to the city of Klausen and to Barbian.
